In the role of a Test Architect, this individual will be responsible for designing test strategy, setting the direction for testing product features, planning inter-operatibility testing and recommending test tools and test hardware for IBM storage software. S/He will provide technical leadership, will assist test manager with detailed test planning and test scoping/sizing activities and will interface with development and test architects in other locations. S/He will provide leadership for test specification and design, test automation, test execution and product support. The individual will provide mentorship to test team members, participates in team meetings, identifies potential risks and mitigation plans in product delivery cycle.

A) Technical Skills

- Strong background in testing system software products (OS, Device Driver, etc)

- Strong background in server, network and storage administration and configuration

- Excellent understanding of storage technologies (Virtualization, RAID, Block/File IO)

Experience Required

This role requires 12-16 years of industry experience in product development, testing and backend customer support. S/He should have BE in either of Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering and preferably MS in Computer Science. S/He should have 5+ years of relevant experience in testing storage products and protocols and should have proven track record with key accomplishments.
