This role is environment support

Complete all appropriate documentation, related to configuration management,

required by the developers,testers,deployment team and application management team that will maintain the application

Manage the configuration of applications and technologies and there respective metadata

Manage minor issues independently, providing guidance to junior members of the team participates in the setting of standards around applications and technologies and manage their lifecycle.

Ensure that consistent code bases are moving between environments in all affected applications.

Maintain the code migration strategy and work toward a standard tool to migrate code packages for project specific application

Where migration tools exist will perform code migrations through environments especially from QA to Production.

Job Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:

Install and configure development, staging and production (where applicable) environments based on project deliverables

Proactive Management of servers using proactive management tools like MOM/SCOM, Dell IT assistant etc.

Software distribution and reporting using SMS/SCCM.

Patch Management using WSUS/SMS/SCCM.

Perform server virtualization using VMware ESX / HyperV environment

Execute server and application security audits per defined standards and policies

Configure and administer a variety of monitoring and reporting tools to meet SLA requirements

Monitor server capacity and proactively plan for hardware upgrades or replacement

Resolve technical and functional server issues – application layer

24X7 Tier 2/3 support for server OS and hardware related issues.

Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Interface with clients to understand their systems needs and troubleshoot issues

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

At least 2 years of IT experience with minimum 1 years in server management operations.

Excellent systems skills utilizing Microsoft platforms (Windows Server 2003 or Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Active Directory)

Experience in planning and/or supporting large system operation

Troubleshoot infrastructure and application configuration issues.

Job Summary:

• Operational support of LAN/WAN devices such as Cisco Routers, Switches, Packetshapers in a MPLS environment.

• Support of DNS/DHCP related issues on MetaIP appliances

• Optional - knowledge of Voice over IP (VOIP) and Traditional voice related systems and devices.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Essential: CCNP/CCVP Certification.

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Cisco routers (mainly 72xx and other ISRs), Catalyst and IOS switches (65xx, 45xx, 4xxx, 35xx series).

• Hands-on experience maintaining converged networks over PPP/Frame-relay T1, E1, T3, DS3 and OC-x links, Ethernet and ISDN links.

• Expert knowledge in enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc). Specific knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and IP protocols in an MPLS Environment.
