Primary Responsibilities:

1. SDLC & STLC understanding:

2. Test planning under the guidance of a more senior engineer.

3. Execution of assigned testing tasks.

4. Identification and reporting of product defects.

5. Writes clear and complete defect reports including all required information, and details required for reproduction.

Experience



1. 5+ years of QA experience

2. Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Computer science



Competencies / Skill sets required for the role:

1. Very good in Black box test techniques & methodologies

2. Very good analytical, testing & technical skills

3. Basic programming knowledge preferably in C / C++ / any other object oriented programming

4. Strong in Windows Concepts like

1. Different file system

2. Imaging

3. Services & Process

4. OS installation & partitioning

5. Good in Networking concepts (basics)

6. Preferably Unix knowledge

7. Knowledge in automation (PERL, Python, UI Automation tools - QTP, SilkTest)

8. Knowledge in non-functional testing (performance, security, reliability etc) preferred

9. Very Good in analysis and Troubleshooting
